You’re the Key!

Let me just tell you what the Holy Spirit whispered to me recently, and it stopped me in my tracks:

“You are the key.”

Whew.

He wasn’t talking about someone else. Not the person who hurt me. Not the one who misunderstood me. Not even the one who walked away.

Me.
You.
Us.

He was showing me how often we give away the pen that writes our story. We hand it to circumstances, to trauma, to other people’s decisions—and we stand in the wings like a background character.

But the truth is: we are the main character. Not in a prideful way, but in the sense that God has entrusted us with the authority, the responsibility, and the power to move forward, heal, and win.

Not every emotion belongs to someone else’s action. Not every delay is someone else’s fault. And not every battle is meant to be fought with blame.

I’m learning that freedom starts when we stop waiting for someone else to come fix it.

The Holy Spirit made it so clear:
“You’re not waiting on anyone. You are the key to your victory.”

That doesn’t mean we don’t need God—no, quite the opposite. It means we partner with Him. We stop playing small. We show up. We own our journey. We stop rehearsing what they did and start declaring who we are.

So this month, I want to invite you to take your power back, not in a loud, revenge-y way. In a gentle, Holy Spirit kind of way. The kind that says:

“I choose to heal.”
“I choose to grow.”
“I choose to take responsibility for my part.”
“I will not hand over the pen anymore.”

Sis, you are not powerless. You are not invisible. You are not stuck.
You are the key.

Walk like it.

Love,
Sheba
